Mariam (CPSP, MSPA)

Mariam is a certified practising speech pathologist and member of Speech Pathology Australia. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters in Speech and Language Pathology and a background in Medical Science.

Mariam has experience working with children with a range of diagnoses and has worked across school, telehealth, clinic, group and community settings. Mariam has a passion for working and collaborating in early intervention with children and their families to strengthen their skills and provide strength-based communication supports. Mariam is driven by working with families to achieve goals and build meaningful communication and connections through a variety of different communication forms.

Kate Stalker (CPSP, MSPA)

Kate graduated from the University of Sydney with a Masters in Speech Pathology. She has experience working with children in a range of contexts including in clinic, day care and school settings as well as via telehealth. Since graduating Kate has supported children to develop their speech, language, literacy and social skills. Kate enjoys working with Autistic children and their families facilitate meaningful communication and language development. She enjoys helping her clients to achieve their communication goals. Kate has a particular interest in early intervention and using all forms of communication to enable her clients to communicate in a way that meets their individual needs.

I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Sydney. Being an experienced Allied Health Assistant at Be Connected Speech Pathology, I am passionate and dedicated to fulfilling my role of providing speech and language therapy for children with various communication needs. I am committed to cooperating with our lovely clients and strengthening the connections with their families in order to support, develop and build each child’s skills through individualised treatment through evidence based treatment for receptive and expressive language difficulties and speech sound disorders.

Completing community placement at the University of Sydney whilst having a background in tutoring students from a range of ages, has allowed me to further enhance each therapy experience by supporting children to flourish and and reach their full learning potential within a comforting space.

Burcu (Allied Health Assistant)

I am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Western Sydney University, and I proudly belong to the Be Connected speech clinic team. I am dedicated to making a difference in the lives of our clients and passionate about providing them with the support they need on their therapy journey.

I am responsible for managing client records, scheduling appointments, and maintaining the clinic's overall organisation. I assists our speech pathologist in various aspects of therapy, working with clients to implement treatment plans. Beyond my professional responsibilities, I enjoy outdoor activities and spend my free time exploring the beautiful outdoors of Sydney. My background as an instructor at Taekwondo and my studies in speech pathology have equipped me with the ability to connect with children and their families, understanding their individual needs and tailoring my approach to ensure a positive experience throughout their therapy journey. My commitment to client care reflect the clinic's dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for our clients.
